NAVS Automation Expert @ Communications Technology Group

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:


We are looking for a NAVS Automation Expert who can help us deliver the next generation of cloud telco solutions for our Tier-1 customers, making a global impact. Your hands-on approach and technical proficiency will enable the team to deliver fully automated services and identify replicable patterns that will allow us to meet our clients’ high standards in terms of high availability and almost instant, seamless reaction. The automation strategy should be in line with latest industry standards, resulting in a fully operational CI/CD/CT pipeline, enhancing our ability to deliver top notch, high availability solutions, reducing waste to non-existence.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience in Devops/Automated deployment field

Responsibilities:

• analyse customer requirements and design fully automated deployment scripts
• contribute to existing project and practice know-how and frameworks
• ensure a seamless interworking with development and testing teams
• integrate newly developed components into the CI/CD/CT pipeline or adjust as needed
• be the “go to person” for Devops stream, for the engineering team and customer
• understand the development team working model and release cycle deliveries
• coordinate the Devops project stream to achieve the agreed milestones and KPIs

Knowledge and Skills:

• Linux knowledge is required
• Strong experience in building automation scripts (Ansible, Chef)
• Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols, CCNA/CCNP certifications are a plus
• A good understanding of telecom ecosystems and protocols (SS7, SIP, INAP, Camel, Diameter, MAPP, SMPP) is nice to have
• Knowledgeable with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana)
• Technical maturity to read, understand and apply learnings from in depth technical documentation / standards / best practices, as appropriate
• Capability to assume e2e ownership for the automation stream activities and their successful completion
• Openness to sharing information across streams and collaborate to achieve common goals
• Hands on problem solver, proactive, independent, creative
• Very good communication & interaction skills

• Excellent team player
