Senior Java Developer (Spring)

Referred to as Java Competence Center, we co-create and co-accelerate with key players in any field. Without being limited to any business unit, we demonstrated our deep Java development expertise by delivering Saa S platforms in various domains: Web Applications in e-Commerce, Automotive, Telco, Insurance, Banking and Public sector, even Big Data and scientific applications. Our current emphasis lies on Paa S solutions, with a specific focus on Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, AWS, and Cloud Foundry. With the increasing demand for Microservices projects, we have created a reference architecture for our major clients, researched various frameworks, and identified the ones that are highly sought after by the large enterprises we collaborate with.

Our client is one of the largest German insurance groups.It is a project for the administration of pensions with the technologies below.
The project will have its first production delivery in September-October this year, and will continue with the development of new functionalities plus bug fixing.

What you'll be doing

Work under Agile methodologies in an international team
Plan and describe the backlog together with the product owners
Requirement analysis, coding, design, implementation, problem analysis and technical documentation for the Software as a Service platform
Creating automated test approaches and strategies to maintain an appropriate quality level within your team
Code reviews with an emphasis on non-functional requirements and adherence to architectural principles

What you'll bring along

A University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience on a similar position is required
Experience in development with Java, Spring und Spring Boot
Experience with Angular would be nice to have
Experience with Cloud Native development (Docker, Kubernetes / Spinnaker)
Basic knowledge of JPA Hibernate, CDI, Restful Services and API Design
Familiarity with Microservice architecture
Experience with messaging technologies (Rabbit MQ, Kafka)
Experience with Git
Familiarity with build/deployment automation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
