Senior Legal Advisor

Your primary responsibility is to manage and resolve the company’s disputes with former clients, ensuring the protection of the company's interests at all stages of the legal process. You will also provide strategic legal advice to the Human Resources department, addressing issues related to labor relations and contributing to maintaining a compliant working environment. Additionally, you will support all company departments by ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and facilitating the implementation of business initiatives in alignment with the company's objectives. Monitoring and effectively integrating relevant legislative changes will also be essential in your role.

What You Will Do:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (postgraduate studies are an advantage).
- At least 5 years of solid experience in handling litigation, accumulated in a similar role, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation and its correct interpretation and application in practical situations.
- Advanced knowledge of English, including legal terminology.
- Experience and in-depth understanding of the processes and procedures within a legal department, especially regarding litigation management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills, essential for interacting with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to critically evaluate complex legal issues to formulate effective solutions.
- Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes in litigation.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, necessary for efficiently managing multiple legal cases and projects simultaneously.

What We Expect from You:
- Represent the company's interests before courts and other judicial bodies in all disputes (civil, labor law) involving the company, managing each procedural stage (first instance, appeal, final appeal).
- Draft complaints, appeals, and court actions with solid and legally compliant arguments to protect and defend the company's interests. Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and actively contribute to the proceedings by providing a rigorous defense.
- Participate in disciplinary committees as a representative of the Legal Department when necessary, and review meeting minutes to ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.
- Provide legal advice to all company departments on various legal matters, including consumer credit regulations, consumer protection, advertising, civil law, financial-banking law, labor law, health, and safety at work, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Participate in negotiations for the amicable resolution of disputes, regardless of their nature.
- Provide legal advice and manage documentation related to the company's activities, including legal matters specific to non-banking financial institutions, consumer protection, advertising, labor law, data protection, debt recovery, anti-money laundering, etc.
- Review and approve responses to complaints from clients, potential clients, agents, etc., to minimize the company’s legal and reputational risks.
- Draft legal opinions and viewpoints in Romanian and English at the request of the direct supervisor or other management members.
- Prepare materials for periodic and/or ad-hoc reports, including summaries of legislative changes, assessments of litigation involving the company, and analysis of legal risks.
