TRADE COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and Document Management
- Create and update Excel and Word documents to process and manage compliance-related data.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
- Support and maintain legal and compliance software platforms, including internal document management systems, compliance registers and external third-party due diligence platforms.
- Provide analytics to support Trade Compliance reporting to the board and audit committee.
- Monitor Trade Compliance mailbox, review and release sanction and line item holds.
- Conduct monitoring reviews as assigned, providing detailed reports promptly.
- Assist in responding to urgent compliance queries from various stakeholders.
- Assist with the compilation of various regulatory reports, including formatting, media, and marketing.
- Perform research on regulatory matters and summarise research results.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure compliance registers are up to date.
- Liaise with team members and other internal stakeholders globally.
- Participate in various compliance-related projects.
- Handle basic word-processing correspondence.
- Input information into spreadsheets.
- Manage training data, including sending reminders to employees.
- Recognized qualification in business administration, law, paralegal or other compliance certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance analyst / specialist role in a corporate office environment.
- Regulatory compliance experience preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience of legal and compliance databases (NAVEX, i Manage, Kharon, OTM/GTM) preferred but not essential.
- Previous knowledge of HTS & ECCN classifications, US & EU sanctions regulations and denied party screening.
- Ability to speak fluent English is essential. Proficiency in other languages would be advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis.
- Excellent organizational and data processing skills.
- Strong research techniques.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters and exercise sound discretion and judgment.
- Capable of working independently, assuming responsibility, and being a self-starter.
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals in addressing complex issues.
