Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules
• Conduct material and labor take-offs and cost analyses
• Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor and control project costs, including tracking and reporting on cost variations
• Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and quality of work
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to project costs
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
• Solid understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control procedures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in using computer software such as MS Excel and cost estimating software
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
