Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Purchasing / Procurement Officer to join our restaurant company. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Saudi Arabian market and possess extensive supplier connections across the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors. This role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely supply of high-quality ingredients and equipment that meet the company’s standards.
Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet the company’s procurement needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing of quality goods and services.
• Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the operations team to ensure that all restaurants have adequate stock.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, price fluctuations, and potential new suppliers.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products.
• Collaborate with restaurant managers and chefs to forecast future demand and plan purchases accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to procurement, health, and safety standards.
• Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Handle supplier issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure quality control throughout the supply chain.
• Oversee budget management and work closely with the finance department to monitor expenses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong connections and established relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of local regulations, import/export laws, and food safety standards.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
