Our team is responsible for providing Tik Tok search users with first-class search experience by building a strong and robust infrastructure and platform to support product fast iteration and key feature development. In our team, you'll have the opportunity to take part in developing the key features on Tik Tok Search, understand how Tik Tok Search could be evolved to be a multi-billion-user product and first-handed experience how user request varies on this giant from time to time. Detailed responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Responsible for building and managing the engineering team of the search business;
• Lead and develop large-scale software systems to provide power for Tik Tok search;
• Lead and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of products.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional team as a partner to provide high-quality work in rapid product development.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors or advanced degree in CS, CE, EE or similar.
• 5 years of search industry experience in a software development environment.
• Industry experience in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications.Good understanding of how modern search systems are built or/and how modern search products should be evolved.
• Industry experience in building a consumer-facing search product.
• Experience in building and managing the engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding on how modern Search system is built or/and how modern Search product should be evolved.
• Industry experience in building a consumer-facing Search product.
• Experience in building a medium-size backend technical team from scratch.
