Job purpose:
We are seeking a young, enthusiastic individual to join our commissioning team, primarily focusing on the commissioning of Balance Catamarans. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to gain extensive experience in catamaran sailing, construction, and technical operations. We are looking for someone committed to growing with us for the long term, not someone intending to work overseas in the near future. This is an exceptional chance to learn from some of the best in the business and to be a part of one of South Africa's most renowned catamaran builders.
Duties and responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participating in the commissioning of Balance Catamarans, particularly the Balance 442 and Balance 482 sailing catamarans.
• Taking customers sailing on catamarans, demonstrating the vessel's capabilities and operations.
• Working with dock teams to complete commissioning and quality checklists.
• Managing dockside teams, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth operations.
• Engaging with customers to understand and fulfil their final requirements for their vessel.
• Providing training on Balance Catamarans to customers and other team members.
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• SAS (South African Sailing) Skipper's Certificate is mandatory.
• Good sailing experience with the ability to confidently sail a catamaran.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams and interact with customers.
• Well-organized with excellent communication skills.
• A passion for boating, sailing, and the boat building industry.
• Own transport and a valid driver's license are required.
• Willingness to be based between our dock at the V&A Waterfront and our factory at the port.
