Path Care Vermaak is a partnership of pathologists in private practice which assists doctors and healthcare
professionals to determine and confirm diagnoses. The company is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions
Council of South Africa) and all our laboratories are SANAS accredited.
An opportunity exists for an Entry-level Medical Technologist or an Entry-level Medical Laboratory Scientist to
join the Path Care Vermaak team in the Molecular department at the Unitas branch in Centurion. We seek an
individual with a high level of ethics and integrity who displays a proven track record of aligning with the
Path Care Vermaak values.

• National diploma qualification/Medical

Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist Certificate
in relevant field

• Current registration with the HPCSA in relevant field

• Computer literate with Skylims knowledge is

advantageous

• Knowledge/understanding of the stock management

system

• 1-3 years of Molecular pathology experience post

HPCSA registration is essential

• Experience in technical procedure development and

implementation

• Experience in maintaining QA Systems

• Problem-solving ability (including QC and instrument

related)

competency.
