External Warehouse Inventory Manager - Jetpark

- Planning, administration and control of inventory and stock-mix of all MRS warehouses, including branches, consignment and contract warehouses.
- Provide ad-hoc support to Regional Planning Manager and supply chain practitioners based in the Southern Africa region in related job functions.
- Execution of all replenishment inventory order and control of the inventory level of the MRS stock in warehouse 10 and assisting the national stock controller to do the same in the branches, contracts and consignment warehouses situated across South Africa.
- Work in collaboration with GSCD team to attain and maintain 95% stocked parts availability on MRS products lines in line with the lean inventory levels and achieving defined OTIF targets.
- GIM - Review on a daily basis the suggested orders as suggested by the Global Inventory Management (GIM) MRP system and liaise directly with GSCD to raise any discrepancies.
- Work directly with the Marketing Managers and branch sales people to ensure correct stock-mix based on consumption at all branches, including warehouse 10.
- Inventory review meetings - Setup and action monthly stock review and forecast adherence review meetings with the Marketing Managers.
- Analyse and action excess and obsolete stock quarterly redistribution returns to central warehouse - assist in identifying excess and obsolete stock for return in the branches, contract and consignments warehouses back to warehouse 10 in Jet Park.
- Identify excess and obsolete stock for return to the various supplying production and distribution centres globally.
- Ensure process is conducted n accordance with EPIROC Surplus returns policies and completed with a recorded return credit.
- Analyse scrapping requirements for the business, applying for scrapping approval by following the Scrapping Approval Process and liaising with the DC and other stakeholders to complete the scrapping process.
- Review parts sales patterns identifying seasonality and potential parts for sales campaigns.
- Assist the National External Stock Controller by facilitating requests and consignment warehouses inventory levels in accordance with the current consignment agreement in place.
- Conduct regular forecast adherence reviews to identify deviations and put remedial measures in place to eradicate re-occurrence of such events.
- Analyse lost parts sales against current planning and forecast adherence - external and local suppliers.
- Through planning conduct regular forecasting and inventory level reviews on planned material requirements and fast-moving parts on a daily basis and work with the Marketing Managers to achieve optimal inventory levels.
- Working closely with the expediting team assigned to the business - supervise, mentor and coach the team to achieve inventory supply that will actively facilitate achievement of the stocked parts availability and OTIF targets.
- Assist expediting team through weekly internal expediting meetings and external expediting meetings i.e. external suppliers.
- Prepare and deliver monthly stocking analysis for Working Capital meetings, Logistics Review Meetings and other inventory analysis and inventory related information as required by GSCD, senior management and Marketing Managers.
- Prepare and deliver monthly OSMI and Overstock (Excess) financial provisions for Business Control by second working day of each month.
- Report on ROI for stocking requests which have reached their maturity/override end date.
- Grade 12 qualification
- Completion or in-progress APICS accredited supply chain course
- Certificate or diploma in Business Management
- Knowledge and understanding of MRS business - specifically in supply chain
- BPCS, MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook)
- GIM proficiency - completion in 2018 of GIM Proficiency Modules 1 and 2
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Able to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both with internal and external customers
- Good problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm in completing tasks
- Have a good understanding of supply chain principles and management
