Key Outputs:
- Innovative Itinerary Planning: Design and plan creative and unique Leisure Group itineraries, with a preference for those experienced in incentives.
- Group Requirements Expertise: Understand specific requirements and policies for group itineraries.
- Reservations Management: Oversee the reservations process, ensuring group requirements are met within budget.
- Timely Responses: Ensure response times align with standard operating practices.
- Comprehensive Booking Handling: Manage bookings from initial quote to finalization, including invoicing and travel documents.
- Proactive Sales: Sell products and services actively to create the best possible itineraries for guests.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and consistent interaction with colleagues, agents, guests, and suppliers.
- Company Values Upholding: Uphold the values of care for people, land, and wildlife.
- Travel and Site Inspections: Occasionally travel with groups or conduct site inspections with agents/guests.
- Service Excellence: Strong understanding of delivering exceptional service to agents and guests.
- Booking System Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Tourplan or similar booking systems.
- Geographical Expertise: Detailed geographical, logistical, and product knowledge of South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, and Kenya. Additional knowledge of Namibia, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique is advantageous.
- Eagerness to Learn: Willingness and ability to learn new skills and information.
- Excellent Communication: Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Time Management: Effective desk and time management skills.
- Pressure Handling: Ability to work under pressure and show initiative.
- Travel Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the travel industry, particularly Tour Operating.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities.
- Writing Skills: Ability to elaborate on explanations or descriptions in writing.
- Customer Focus: Exceptionally customer-focused approach.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Professionalism: Calm and professional manner in servicing agents and guests.
- Independent Spirit: Independent, curious, and proactive nature.
- Touring Groups Experience: At least 3 years of experience in touring groups.
- An enquiring mind and methodical approach.
- Attention to detail and creativity.
- Perseverance and patience.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- High energy levels and flexibility.
- Decisiveness and adaptability.
