The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (Part-Time) for the following modules for the 2025 academic year:
1st semester

• Gender, Culture and Society (GECS6221)

2nd semester

• Building Support Networks for Children and Families (BSNC6222)
• Medical Sociology (MEDS6222)

Competencies Required:

• Communications skills
• Organisational skills
• Time management

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts Honours / Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Sociology.

Minimum Experience Required:

• Lecturing experience in Sociology.
• Lecturers must be able to apply the theory to a relevant work environment.
• A practising sociologist in politics, rural or developmental sociology would be an advantage.

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.

• Position is part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays.
