Our prestigious 5-star lodge located in the heart of Kruger National Park is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Lodge Anchor. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the lodge and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded understanding of lodge operations, with strong F&B knowledge, administrative skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hosting: Welcome guests and provide a warm and professional experience.
- Check-ins and Check-outs: Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently.
- Stock Control: Oversee inventory and ensure proper stock management.
- Room Checks: Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms to maintain high standards.
- Office Admin: Handle various administrative tasks, including managing reservations and guest inquiries.
- Ownership of Responsibilities: Take full accountability for the work done, ensuring tasks are completed professionally and promptly.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a lodge environment.
- F&B Knowledge: Strong understanding of Food & Beverage operations.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in office software and general administrative duties.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Financial Acumen: Sound understanding of financial processes and reporting.
- Lodge Operations: Comprehensive understanding of all lodge departments and how they interconnect.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
- Professionalism: Maintain a neat and presentable appearance, reflecting the 5-star standard of the lodge.
- Additional: Experience with Res Request is an advantage.
- Live-in Position: Accommodation provided on-site.
- Meals Provided: Enjoy meals while on duty.
- Uniform: Provided as part of the position.
- Tips: Opportunities to earn tips.
- Own Transport: Must have your own reliable transport for commuting.
