Job Description:
Oakham Wealth Management, a UK-based investment management firm, is seeking a highly organized Marketing & Team Assistant to join our remote team in Cape Town. This role is essential for driving our marketing efforts and supporting the investment and client services teams. Oakham is a boutique company, so the role is likely to develop according to the individual’s skill set and ambition.


Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Business Development:

• Generate leads and target professionals with significant portfolios using Linked In and other platforms (in the UK and Europe).
• Target clients with portfolios to invest for the long term (this includes general investment accounts, pensions, UK ISAs, and Trusts).
• Find ways to target professionals who are selling their businesses.
• Ensure compliance with FCA and GDPR rules while avoiding unnecessary advertising costs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support the investment team.
• Support the client services team.
• Maintain a daily task list and assist in developing new roles as the company grows.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Marketing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with financial markets, investments, and wealth management.
• Skills in Linked In and other social media platforms for business development.
• Knowledge of FCA and GDPR compliance is advantageous.

Benefits of the Role:

• Salary Range: R20 000 - R25 000 per month, dependent on experience.
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm SAST.
• Leave:15 days of annual leave plus South African public holidays.
• Remote Work: Fully remote position (Please note, you will be required to always maintain a stable internet connection and have sufficient backup during power outages).
