Purpose of the Job

The primary objective of this position is to assist the Group's brands in expanding their portfolio by importing capital expenditure items identified by the international procurement function. Responsibilities include processing and tracking orders, managing shipments, overseeing warehousing and distribution of items, as well as communicating with international stakeholders to ensure strong relationships are maintained.

Job Objectives

Assist in the management of importing a wide range of international articles.
Provide support in managing stock control and distribution of spare parts.
Plan and schedule procurements to ensure on time delivery and within scope.
Prepare requisitions and purchase orders to assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Communicate order details to internal and external stakeholders.
Resolve vendor discrepancies (service delivery and quality).
Track and record orders, receiving orders and documenting arrivals.
Supporting the end-to-end procurement process from receiving an allocation to successful delivery.
Providing accurate and timely reports to management.
Conduct detailed analysis and investigation on new articles.
Maintain accurate documentation process to comply with compliance and internal reviews.

Qualifications

Essential

Grade 12 – Matric.

Preferred

Diploma/ Degree in Logistics, Procurement or Operations – or related qualification.

Experience

Essential

+2 years' experience in a procurement delivery, technical officer, quality control or similar role with demonstrable experience sourcing, purchasing, quality controlling and qualifying varying equipment and machinery.
Proven track record working with various international stakeholders.
Ability to review technical documents such as specifications, designs, shipping documents.

Knowledge and Skills

Preferred

Data processing and analysis skills in MS Office 365 with an intermediate level of Excel skills.
