Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (Mat CH) is a non-profit organisation supporting public sector health services. Mat CH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. Mat CH is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position under a new project aimed to strengthen the healthcare delivery platform for TB in Mpumalanga Province.
Location: Nkangala District , Mpumalanga Province
Duration of Contract: fixed term contract( actual contract duration to be confirmed at interviews)

Main purpose of the job
To support the project team unit in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all project interventions. S/he will provide technical field support to the Strategic Information team at the district level. The Strategic Information Coordinator will work closely with project teams to assess field conditions for the implementation of the TB project, support capacity-building initiatives, facilitate the collection of quality data, as well as translate data into program intelligence that drives TB and TB/HIV collaboration quality improvement initiatives at district level under the supervision of the Strategic Information Technical Lead.
Key performance areas

• Conduct Health facility field visits
• Assist in developing Performance framework for Districts assigned to Mat CH
• Manage the holistic, overall District M&E framework, as well as supporting detailed reports to Do H and the funder
• Coordinate and manage the workforce of the M&E team (Strategic Information Officers and Data Capturers)
• Ensure timeous submission of reports required by the funder and be willing to act on timeously to ad-hoc reports required by the funder.
• Data Management & Reporting Systems
• Data Quality Assurance and provide feedback to the program team.
• Staff Management
• Participate in District Data Review Meetings
• Capacity Building (Coordinate trainings required for the data Capturers and Strategic Information Officers)
• Participate in Research/Generation of Information Products
• Self-management and performance ownership
• Manage data in compliance with POPIA
• Perform other duties as assigned aligned to the role

Required minimum education and training.
o Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematics, Data Science, Public Health, Health Information Management, or a related field.
Minimum work experience
o At least 4 years of relevant experience in field implementation and management of M&E/Strategic Information in TB/HIV-related programs for public, private, or NGO sector
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities
o Presentation skills and data visualization
o Post Graduate Qualification in Health Information Management, Public Health, Data management, or Information systems.
o Previous PEPFAR and/or HIV/TB project-related M&E experience
o Extensive knowledge and experience in the South African Public Health Information Management Systems (Web DHIS, TIER.Net, EDRWeb)
o Sound knowledge and experience in data management and statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, STATA, )
o Training/ Facilitation experience on M&E-related aspects
o MER Framework development .
o Ability to handle a varied, busy, and pressurized workload.
o Organized, thorough, attention to detail, quality, and accurate approach to work.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Above average computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word, and demonstrated ability to use other data analysis packages.
o Valid driver’s license, own vehicle
o Must be willing to travel at short notice
