Technical Sales Representative

Role Overview:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving our growth by leveraging your expertise in technical sales, project management, and structural steel design. You will identify potential clients, prepare accurate project quotations, and guide clients through the sales process, ensuring an exceptional experience that exceeds expectations throughout their journey with Valostar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop a portfolio of clients in the structural steel industry.
- Utilise technical knowledge to prepare and present accurate project quotes aligned with client requirements.
- Nurture long-term relationships with clients through exemplary customer service and communication.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to provide timely updates and support to clients.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while staying informed about industry trends and competitors.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of sales experience in the construction or related industry, with a strong focus on technical sales, project management, and excellent knowledge of structural steel design.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in technical and construction-related contexts.
- Strong rapport-building skills, with an established portfolio of clientele.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans (fluency required).
- Computer literate with proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Matriculation certificate; a tertiary qualification in Sales or a related field is a plus.
- Own vehicle for travel.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary and a flat-rate commission structure, rewarding your efforts and success.
