About the Role
As the Head of Compliance, Korea, you will be responsible with the following:
Execute governance responsibilities of ANZ's I.AM Amplified Framework and Financial Crime through implementation and education across the ANZ Business and Risk areas. (Financial crime in this context includes Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, and Fraud Risk.)
Provide subject matter expertise and advice to Risk, Business Partners and senior stakeholders on compliance policies, frameworks, obligations, and remediation.
Act as the primary point of contact providing timely and specialist advice on compliance, AML/CTF & Sanctions and policy/framework matters arising from the region.
Display cost conscious behaviour and ensure own expenditure is in accordance with budget.
Ensure that country licences are protected through the effective implementation and monitoring of regulatory and compliance issues.
A member of the Korean Executive Committee, this role plays a crucial role in the leadership and culture strategy for the location.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong knowledge of banking operations, instruments, processes, AML/CTF & Sanctions policy and application.
Proven knowledge in market related products, legislative and regulatory expertise, particularly FSS activities and engagement protocols.
Basic understanding of criminal, civil and industrial law and associated legal proceedings.
Strong understanding of ANZ Risk and Compliance frameworks and policies.
Builds relationships and networks.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
