Site Procurement Associate
The Site Procurement Associate is responsible for providing tactical procurement support for the Banwol Site in South Korea and will encompass a comprehensive responsibility for procurement activities at the site, ensuring the reliable and cost-effective supply of all materials and services necessary.
The type of purchase may be either NPM (Non-Production Materials) or MRP procurement and any single/one-time procurement site needs. This person will play a crucial role in the Site Procurement Team, acting as a liaison between various Elanco sites within the APAC while contributing to the broader Global Elanco Procurement Team.
Additionally, the Site Procurement Associate will be a multifaceted role, not only focusing on day-to-day procurement activities but also actively participating in broader initiatives such as Global Procurement Process Transformation and supporting Elanco's Growth, Innovation, and Cash Initiatives.
Your Responsibilities:
Efficiently execute operational day-to-day operational purchasing activities for materials and services, and support all site functions, such as manufacturing, capital, and maintenance in their procurement activities.
Ensure a sound purchasing process and manage purchasing data management (PIR, SL, PO), maintaining vendor master data, terms and conditions in the ERP system based on input from sourcing and/or the global category manager.
Manage supply agreements and contracts. Monitor and control contractual agreements and clauses over their entire lifecycle and , minimizing exposure to contractual risks in external relationships through the use of terms and conditions aligned with legal function.
Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost saving and value creation.
Apply tools sustainably along the Source-2-Pay process, identifying and addressing payment issues or bottlenecks by streamlining payment procedures.
Engage with internal stakeholders to understand and identify supply constraints, taking proactive measures to mitigate supply issues, and ensuring adherence to quality Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by performing associated deviation activities.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, supply chain or related field or 3 years equivalent experience in GMP manufacturing environment or other regulated industry
A strong understanding of purchasing concepts and strategies and overall Supply Chain operations in a manufacturing environment is needed
Good at spoken and written English
Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Office.
Very good service orientation as well as good understanding of the customer’s requirements
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Knowledge in SAP P2P / Ariba
Experience in animal healthcare or pharmaceuticals purchasing
Operations and Supply Chain : preferred practical, commercial, and trade experience
Ability to work successfully with people from different cultures, backgrounds and/or language skills.
Strong negotiating, communication, convincing and problem-solving skills.
