The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is important partner valued for medical excellence. By investing in relationships and through knowledge, expertise, and insights, the MSL will enhance CSL Seqirus’ reputation and success to achieve our strategic goals. In designated therapy area/s to communicate and discuss the depth of science behind CSL Seqirus’ products to facilitate uptake and the quality use of our medicines. The MSL will be a contributor, working with the Brand Team to develop strategic medical, scientific and relationship management plans that align with our goals.
The MSL Spain will be field-based 70% and will be located in either Valencia or Andalucía Region. The MSL is a medical professional responsible for providing medical & scientific information for the Seqirus vaccines with a focus in a large part of Spain, focusing on the licensed vaccines and late-stage portfolio; as well as engaging and building strong relationships with key external medical experts; gathering insights and facilitate knowledge exchange; knowledge translation and data generation.
This role requires high level of collaboration with medical and commercial operations functions to ensure activities are in line with Seqirus Spain strategic objectives as well as ensure to act in compliance and respect of all national laws and regulations and Seqirus compliance standards.
This role aims to build strong and durable relationships to customers and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate must have very good English Language skills and be comfortable presenting and conversing in English

Responsibilities include: -
- Communicate new and other important approved medical content to targeted health care professionals (HCPs) in local, regional, or national capacities including Vaccines HCP decision-makers, national and regional key opinion leaders, national and regional professional associations, payer groups at regional and national level, government organizations, primary care key stakeholders at regional level and any other HCP who may be considered an influencer for flu protection in Spain.
- Provide externally truthful, accurate and scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical requests from HCPs and other stakeholders in a manner that complies with all applicable ethical, governmental and Seqirus guidelines, policies, and procedures (e.g., medical inquiries, scientific congress participation, etc.).
- Provide internally product and indication expertise for any Seqirus/CSL colleague (e.g., field force training, develop and update medical slides, medical review, and copy clearance, etc.).
- Deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders in accordance with the designated medical strategy established by the Spanish, European and Global Medical Affairs team.
- Facilitate communication between HCPs and HCOs, any healthcare decision maker, and Medical Affairs colleagues.
- Facilitate both Seqirus sponsored clinical trials, collaborative research, and investigator-initiated research activities, as determined by Medical Affairs and in accordance with Seqirus SOPs (Seqirus sponsored research site/investigator interactions, IIR inquiries, etc.).
- Facilitate and support Medical Affairs contribution to awareness and education of all stakeholders in close collaboration with internal functions.
- Provide internally product and indication expertise for any Seqirus/CSL colleague (e.g., field force training, develop and update medical slides, medical review, and copy clearance, etc.).
- Engage and collaborate with Market Access, Sales Team, Customer Services, Communications and Medical Affairs teams locally and at EMEA level.
- Act at all times in a manner that is consistent with the Seqirus values and behaviors.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations e.g., Code of Practice, financial processes.
- Participate to all compliance training in line with timelines and Code of Practice requirements.
- Contribute to internal signatory/approval process.
Qualifications, skills, and Experience: -
- Scientific Degree as Medical Doctor (MD) or Ph D in other life science (e.g., pharmacy, biology, chemistry)
- 3 years of experience following the last stage of training, including 2 or more years of experience in clinical and/or health services education or research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).
- Experience in infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines and public health and the Spanish health care system.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Holds a driving license valid in Spain.
- Willing to travel across Spain and internationally according to business needs
- Must have very good English skills, comfortable presenting and conversing in English.
