Covestro is looking for 8 highly motivated recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates who are eager to grow and build a dynamic international career within an industrial multinational company in the field of Process Control Technology (PCT).
But what does a PCT Engineer do?
PCT covers a wide range of areas, including electrical power distribution, all sensors, valves, and motors in the process-related environment of the plant, as well as automation of processes. PCT Engineers are also responsible for the operation and monitoring of the plant using state-of-the-art control systems.

The Goal of the Program: Training in Spain to Work in Germany
This program is designed to train future engineers in the Process Control Technology (PCT) field, with an initial focus on our plants in Spain. However, the long-term goal is for you to acquire the necessary skills to develop your career at Covestro Germany, working in an international environment and taking part in large-scale projects within the chemical industry.

We offer:
- 6-month contract as a Junior Engineer in one of our Spanish sites
- German language classes
- Labour contract directly by a German site as a PCT Engineer with a competitive salary.
- Tailor-made development plan and career planning

A mentor from the Top Management team to provide advice, support, and guidance during de program.
Qualifications & Skills
- An Engineering or Master’s degree in one of the folowing studies:
- Bachelor’s in Industrial Electronics and Automation.
- Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering with a spec. in Industrial Electronics and Automation.
- Master’s in Control Engineering, Automation, and Robotics.
- 1-3 years of experience (internships and/or first job), preferably in the industry is valuable.
- Fluency in English (C1); knowledge of German is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong team player mentality.
- Entrepreneurial, innovative and creative thinking with a global mindset.
- Motivation, passion, and eagerness to learn.
- Flexibility, a proactive approach, and a strong results-oriented focus.
Timeline:
Q4 2024/Q1 2025: SELECTION PROCESS
You will go through several stages in the selection process, designed to assess your skills, potential, and alignment with Covestro’s values.
Q2 2025: START THE PROGRAM (SPAIN)
Your career with Covestro will begin with a kick-off event, where you’ll connect with other graduates and key stakeholders (HR Experts, tutors, PCT colleagues, etc.) who will guide you on your journey.

Q3 2025: FINAL STAGE (GERMANY)
After six months in Spain, you will transition to Germany to begin working as a local PCT Engineer. You’ll rotate through different areas and business units to gain a comprehensive understanding of your new role.
