QA Tester

Reporting to the Team Lead in Spain, the QA Tester (Test Engineer) is responsible for carrying out thorough and efficient testing to deliver quality of the highest standard. The Test Engineer will create accurate test plans and execute against these, ensuring that all issues are raised and managed to completion. The Test Engineer will have an eye for detail, be quality focused, deliver well-organized test documentation and feedback on their projects to all team stakeholders. The Test Engineer will take lead on projects where collaboration from other teams or more junior resources are allocated to ensure effective communication of the project.

Accountabilities:

Plan, schedule and deliver quality manual and automated testing to the highest standard across projects while adhering to test procedures.

Provide complete comprehensive test documentation to support knowledge sharing and contribution to testing artefacts.

Share knowledge and expertise across internal teams.

Take accountability for all test related activities per project from analysis and design grooming to delivery.

Define appropriate test coverage to mitigate the identified risks.

Contribute to front end and back-end automation tests, debug and investigate failures for resolution.

Accurately log and bugs and defects found during testing.

Complete assigned QA tasks within agreed timelines.

Provide accurate, detailed and timely updates activities and escalate risks where necessary.

Provide support and/or expertise for the system under test where necessary.

Lead assigned project tasks and activities.

Skills, know-how, experience:

5+ years professional testing experience.

ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing (or equivalent).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Self-motivated with drive and ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to work in a team, building strong relationships to maximise collaboration.

Experienced of working in an agile environment.

Ability to translate requirements into test scenarios.

Attention to detail and highly analytical.

Take initiative to investigate and solve problems.

Exposure to software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.

Fluently speaking and writing in both English and Spanish.

Nice to have:

ISTQB Advanced certifications.

Degree holder / or relevant professional qualification desirable and / or work experience in related role.

Experience mentoring Junior Test Engineers.

Automation testing experience.

Basic competence in C# for automation.

Experience with front end automation with Cyprus.
