We are looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about quality assurance and has a detail-oriented mentality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-functional team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You will collaborate with the team to ensure that testing is integrated from the very beginning of the development process up to features delivery. You will be responsible for adhering to the outlined test approach. This role involves working closely with Quality Lead to provide valuable insights into feature quality.
The successful candidate will also work in close cooperation with other members of the quality team and the broader ESW organization on a new cross-domain project.

This is a 6 month contract

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team on feature development and delivery in accordance with the agreed plan.
• Identify and communicate risks related to incoming dependencies, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Work with the Agile Team to ensure that testing is integrated from the outset.
• Define and implement test cases and scenarios, including exploratory testing.
• Provide key feedback to the Quality Lead regarding quality.
• Participate actively in all Scrum ceremonies.
• Take a proactive approach in refinement meetings, asking questions to identify any gaps in requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in API testing.
• Experience with cross-platform integration testing.
• Expertise in testing SQL and Cosmos databases.
• Experience in logs analysis.
• Familiarity with working in a continuous delivery environment.
• Experience with automation will be a plus.
• Experience with the Confluent Platform (Kafka) will be a plus.
• Experience with Azure Portal is advantageous.
• Certification in ISTQB (or an equivalent qualification) will be a plus.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for addressing challenging problems.
• Good organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
