About us

Danske Bank is a leading Underwriter and MLA of Nordic syndicated Loans according to Bloomberg League tables, ahead of several international investment banks and regional commercial banks. We are furthermore the leading Nordic arranger of green and sustainable lending products, which is a key focus area for Danske Bank. Building on this momentum, we are seeking an Analyst to join our efficient, deal-centric environment and to actively participate in live transactions while building good credit analysis and loan origination experience.

Real Estate Finance (REF) plays an important role in complex financing arrangements for the largest real estate clients in the bank (e.g. larger listed real estate companies as well as Private Equity sponsors). REF is part of client teams within Commercial Real Estate and in Large Corporate and Institutional Banking (LC&I) and Business Customers.

The loan franchise within the Investment Bank consists of specialist bankers located across the Nordic region focusing on origination of loans within Corporate Loans, Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, and ongoing expansion into ESG related Projected Finance, Infrastructure and Renewable financings. Further it includes a Loan Agency team in Copenhagen and Stockholm, and Loan Syndications team in London supported by Loan Support and specialists in LC&I Legal.

Strategic, financial and cash-flow analyses

You will be a part of the Real Estate Finance team and you will create presentations for corporate clients, private equity funds and other potential borrowers. You will also make strategic, financial and cash-flow analyses, including evaluation of due diligence materials. The work tasks will also include assessment of debt capacity and capital structure alternatives, preparation of internal presentations (e.g., business and credit committees) as well as drafting and negotiation of term sheets and loan documentation. You will learn and deepen your understanding and experience in complex financing arrangements.

Your profile
To achieve your goals in REF, you should have good analytical skills, and a positive pragmatic attitude. Collaboration and professional communication skills are essential, as you will regularly interact with internal and external stakeholders. Fluency in English and one of the Nordic languages is a requirement.
You will likely have a MSc in Finance, Business, or Economics, but your degree could be well within another field – what matters is that you can demonstrate a strong academic track record combined with an analytical mindset. Previous experience from banking, or a similar sector, is beneficial.
We work in a competitive market where things can get hectic from time to time – it is therefore important that you are able to prioritize your work tasks. Additionally, competences in Excel and Power Point is critical.
