H2 Green Steel is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. Internship – Automated Sustainability Screening
Our Sustainability team is looking for a driven and structured intern to support in development of key activities within sustainability screening of emerging project to help scale our green hydrogen offering globally.
You will take an active role in the team and be responsible for developing our sustainability screening process for emerging projects as well as supporting the team in day-to-day activities during the fall. You will work side by side with experienced colleagues, interact with stakeholders and hence get the chance to build up your network. You have experience in basic programming and an interest in sustainability.
Project outline - Sustainability Screening
Sustainability is a core value of our business proposal, and all our new projects are screened for sustainability risks at an early stage. This internship aims to improve and automate our current ways of working to increase accuracy, reduce repetitive manual work and ensure fact-based decisions.

• Review current model incl. sustainability risks and criteria, available indexes and datasets.

• Automate the collection and analysis of data for our sustainability screening process by leveraging existing solutions by applying basic programming skills.
• Conduct manual screenings ad-hoc, in parallel with developing an automation solution during the internship.

Qualifications

• A final year student or graduate in industrial engineering, computer science, data science, environmental engineering or similar.
• A strong interest in all aspects of sustainability
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and basic programming skills in Python and R, with an interest in applying these skills to real-world data.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Practical information about the internship:

• Period: Start from September.
• Working time rate: 50% for 10 weeks
• Location: H2GS Stockholm Offices, with possibility of limited remote working.
