Your future plans
As Business Relationship Manager in our Commodity Solutions North-Europe team you will originate commercial opportunities and develop suitable energy solutions that will help corporates and developers to achieve their targets in energy procurement and sustainability.
In your client facing function, your task will be to grow RWE’s client base, to develop customer specific solutions and to create commercial leads for the team. You will originate long-term as well as short-term commodity contracts, in particular around renewable energy and power purchase agreements. You will have responsibilities to assist the clients for the full deal lifecycle. In this position you will have direct influence on delivering the team’s Pn L targets. Initially, your area of focus will be customers with exposures in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland.

RWE Supply & Trading is the interface between RWE and the energy markets around the world. Around 2,000 employees from over 70 different countries trade electricity, gas, commodities and CO2 emission allowances. The trading entity also ensures the commercial optimisation of RWE’s power plant dispatch and markets electricity from RWE.

- Manage the deal process with international and local customers and to ensure a sustainable value contribution for RWE’s long-term activities
- Maintain the existing client base and manage customer relationships
- Generate new leads to ensure deals inflow and business retention
- Understand customers’ needs in detail and transform them into value added opportunities for the team
- Act in coordination with other Business Relationship Managers
- Represent RWE in the wider market in bilateral client interactions, at conferences and at events;
- Identify and design new products to support client needs, in line with RWE’s risk polices
- Build up and maintain a pipeline of new commercial opportunities in collaboration with the team; Work with negotiators/originators in the transaction approval process including interaction with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

- A highly commercial mindset, excellent negotiation skills, strong business acumen and Pn L responsibility
- Proven track record in a commercial role in the industry
- Experience with ESG and/or renewable energy is a mandatory
- Proven customer facing commercial experience and demonstration of track record of leads
- Deep understanding of market insights and customer needs
- Existing client network within the Scandinavian renewable energy market on either production or consumption side
- Ability to understand, develop, document and communicate complex structures to all levels of internal and external management and ability to network and influence at appropriate levels of the RWE organization
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Business fluent English language skills are mandatory plus at least one region specific language are essential
