Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

ABC Labs is seeking a curious, driven, and talented individual to lead our technology division.
We are innovating at the forefront of diagnostics by creating technologies combining software, robotics, data science, medical consultations, lab testing, and customer-facing operations to enable end-to-end products covering the entire spectrum of user needs - building out an infrastructure for diagnostics that becomes exponentially more efficient over time.
ABC was founded as an impact project and grew into the largest pandemic lab conducting up to 30% of total testing with public health contracts exceeding USD 180 million and R&D that led to three national screening programs and 9 publications.
We are now deploying that infrastructure to unify the highly regulated, highly complex, and fragmented value chain for substance abuse testing at workplaces that is growing at more than 10% CAGR across the EU with need for increasingly sophisticated and scalable solutions.
As CTO, you will play a crucial role in shaping and building these globally-unique solutions in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and some of the leading academic scientists worldwide.

- Dedicated to ensuring that all solutions are outstanding in terms of reliability, quality assurance, and robustness with a focus on best practices in software engineering and infrastructure management. Interested in and excited about exploring and executing technology partnerships with a broad range of potential collaborators spanning from AI models, robotics, scientific instrumentation, and basic sciences.
- Drive quick adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance competitive advantages over time to place ABC Labs at the forefront of innovation.
- Develop and execute a technology strategy that supports ABC Labs' commercial objectives and creates customer value in our product offerings.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of ABC Labs’ technology infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and reliable.
- Lead and manage the engineering and IT teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly in data security and privacy. Collaborate closely with the leadership, commercial, and product teams to ensure technology initiatives are fully synchronized and aligned with business needs.
You will receive market-based compensation with 30 days of vacation and benefits.
You will need to possess a valid work permit for working legally in the European Union and Sweden. If you're a non-EU citizen, please present the work permit you currently hold and its conditions of validity.
