Communications Coordinator

As a Communications Coordinator at Scandic Hotels Group, you will have a key role within our communication team, creating and editing content for various communication channels and assisting communication activities internally and externally.
You'll report to the Communication Director at Scandic Hotels Group and be part of a team responsible for developing Scandic's internal and external communication in Sweden, and on a Group level. You will focus on proactive and reactive communication and cooperate closely with various departments and stakeholders to influence the perception of Scandic's brand, internally and externally.
Specifically, this means:
You are a driven, creative and solution-oriented communication enthusiast who is passionate about storytelling. A doer, quick in mind, who sees opportunities in everything you do while you are humble and has a collaborative mindset. You have excellent written and oral communication skills, a hands-on approach and are used to creating content in different formats and towards both internal and external target groups. You are structured and quickly grasp the business perspective on communications. An international environment is nothing new, and you are used to managing various internal and external stakeholders.
A bit about you:
This full-time employment is based at Scandic Hotels Group Head Office in Stockholm. Some travel is required for this role. We only accept applications through our website. You'll report to the Communication Director at Scandic Hotels Group and be part of a team responsible for developing Scandic's internal and external communication in Sweden, and on a Group level. You will focus on proactive and reactive communication and cooperate closely with various departments and stakeholders to influence the perception of Scandic's brand, internally and externally.
Specifically, this means:
- Contribute to executing the communication strategy and Scandic’s overall communication plans.
- Create and edit a wide range of content for various communication channels, including press releases, Q&A’s, internal articles, guidelines, social media posts, website content, intranet, films and more.
- Project lead and/or assisting in the planning and executing internal and external events, such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and press briefings. This can include coordinating logistics and communicating with participants and speakers.
- Publishing press releases, internal content and other material targeting our different target groups.
- Being an advisor to the organization in daily communication challenges and issues.
- Building relationships to work smart and achieve goals is a close collaboration with colleagues in the communication department and the network of contacts around the company.
- Collect, follow up and analyze data from communication activities to evaluate their impact and effectiveness.
- Support Scandic's crisis management.

A bit about you:
- You have a university degree or the equivalent in communications or journalism.
- You have more than four years of relevant working experience and communication roles at agencies, large companies/brands, or media houses.
- You have strong communication, organizational and project lead skills. You are detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You have great experience and knowledge of creating communication activities that inform, engage, and inspire different target groups in internal and external channels.
- You are genuinely interested in communication and have a sharp pen to formulate messages linked to our strategy, brand position and values.
- You feel accountable, can independently seek out new challenges, drive new initiatives, and effectively balance and prioritize different tasks.
- You have strong social skills, including building trust, inspiring and motivating groups, and communicating with people from all levels of the company and external stakeholders.
- You get energy from building relationships and can collaborate smoothly between teams, individuals, and different functions, internally and externally.
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills in Swedish and English.
- You have experience working with different publishing and editing tools.
- Having experience in working with press, media relations and crisis communication is considered meritorious.
