Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cosmetic Chemist with extensive experience in the formulation and creation of cosmetics using African raw materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique properties of these materials and a passion for developing high-quality, organic beauty products.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Formulation: Develop and refine formulations for a range of cosmetics and personal care products, including skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrances, using African raw materials.
Research & Development: Conduct research on new and innovative uses of African organic materials in cosmetic formulations, staying ahead of industry trends and advancements.
Quality Control: Ensure the highest product quality standards by implementing rigorous testing protocols and adhering to industry regulations and standards.
Raw Material Sourcing: Collaborate with local suppliers to source premium African organic raw materials, ensuring sustainability and ethical practices.
Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance product efficacy, stability, and safety.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cosmetic industry regulations and ensure all products comply with relevant laws and standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure that product formulations align with market needs and company goals.
Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new ingredients, technologies, and methods to enhance product performance and meet consumer demands.
Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to junior chemists and production staff on best practices in formulation and product development.

Qualifications Needed:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry, Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cosmetic chemistry, with a strong focus on using African raw materials.
Skills: Proficiency in organic raw material analysis, formulation chemistry, and product development. Strong understanding of the cosmetic industry, including trends and regulations.
Attributes: Innovative, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainable and ethical beauty product development.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
