As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm Automotive, you will design, develop, create, modify and validate state-of-the-art computer vision software for autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems. You will be part of Requirement Area Vehicle, working closely with experts in different areas within computer vision. You will have the opportunity to contribute with your expertise as well as learn from other highly skilled developers. Together you develop algorithms for vehicle detection, enabling for example autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control and high-level autonomy.


As a member of one of our cross functional teams, you will be performing tasks covering all parts of the product development cycle, including software design, machine learning, hands on work with data, signal processing, testing, writing requirements and functional safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Ph D in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Your profile
For this position, we are looking for someone who matches at least 2-3 of the descriptions below:

• Software Development: You have a robust software development background, preferably complemented by expertise in system design and architecture (required).
• Language and Tools: Proficiency in languages and tools for machine learning and SW development, particularly and C/C++, python and tensorflow.
• Machine Learning: You bring practical experience in machine learning development, gained from relevant industry contexts. This includes practical experience of working with and developing the datasets used.
• Algorithm development: You have experience from applying signal processing techniques to solve complex problems in software. Of particular interest is experience from Kalman filters and object tracking techniques.

Education and experience

• Master's Degree, Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Fluent in English and preferably Swedish
• Located in Linköping, Sweden
