For our GC International headquarters in Lucerne, we are looking for a Compliance and Sustainability Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of operational excellence and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance:
· Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization's compliance in all aspects of its operations.
· Collaborate with legal teams to assess and mitigate legal risks associated with business activities and decisions.
· Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
· Prepare reports, documents, and submissions required for legal compliance, certifications, and permits.
Environmental / Sustainability:
· Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for reducing waste, conserving resources, and implementing eco-friendly practices.
· Monitor industry trends and regulations related to environmental sustainability and propose proactive measures to align with best practices.
· Manage environmental audits (if available) and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
· Establish and maintain relationships with environmental organizations, regulators, and stakeholders to stay informed about advancements and challenges in the field.
· Develop and execute communication strategies to convey the organization's environmental/sustainability efforts, legal compliance initiatives, and internal branding messages to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in law, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Communications, or a related field.
· At least 2 years of experience in legal compliance and environmental sustainability management.
· Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
