This position reports to

R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (4-6 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the development center in Turgi, Aargau, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Motion division. We are looking for a motivated and talented intern to calculate coefficients for a digital filter in a challenging closed-loop environment. You will be mainly accountable for: • Mathematical modelling and discretization of the closed-loop system • Digital filter design according given requirements • Documentation of the results Join ABB for your internship and work in a team that is dedicated to creating the future of motion!

Qualifications for the role

Currently pursuing a Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field
You possess a basic knowledge in power electronics
You have experience with Matlab/Simulink
You are at ease communicating in English, German would be an advantage
You have a passion for applied mathematics and digital signal processing
You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
