R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

Are you ready to drive innovation and make an impact in the world of industrial automation? As an R&D Engineer in Automation, your mission will be to further develop and implement our cutting-edge automation libraries. You'll be a key player in our global R&D team, working across continents - from Brazil to Sweden and Switzerland - to shape the future of automation technology. In this role, you will bring together the realms of automation and information technology, creating solutions that redefine what's possible. Your journey with us will begin with a comprehensive onboarding process that builds on your existing skills, preparing you to tackle the exciting challenges that lie ahead. Key responsibilities: - You'll be responsible for designing innovative software and automation libraries, laying the groundwork for industry-leading solutions. - You will be in charge of creating and demonstrating Proofs of Concepts and prototypes, showcasing the potential of new ideas. - As part of your role, you will develop and refine installers for our automation libraries, ensuring seamless integration and usability. - You’ll take the lead on cyber security evaluations, safeguarding our systems against emerging threats. - You’ll gain deep expertise in industrial automation interoperability, making you a go-to resource in the field. - Working closely with Product Management, you will transform market requirements into actionable user stories and product features. - You will oversee progress reporting and ensure that projects stay on track, both in terms of timing and budget. The work model for the role is: #Li Hybrid

Qualifications for the role

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation or Information Technology. Your technical expertise in .NET, C#, or Python will be essential, and any experience in the mining industry would be an added advantage. Fluency in business English is crucial for this position, and while not mandatory, proficiency in a second language would be highly valued.
You will thrive in this role if you can work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues across the globe. Your ability to solve complex problems, learn quickly, and think creatively will set you apart.
