Our Senior Documentation Specialist: What are we looking for?
We are currently on the search for an amazing new team member to fill a newly created leadership role focused on elevating our overall interior design construction documentation standards and outputs. This role will lead our focus on this work and will have one direct team member working for them whose role is focused on the production of documentation in Revit/CAD, working alongside our amazing design talents in our Bangkok office, as well as colleagues all over the APAC region on a range of world-leading, community defining projects. Our new Senior Documentation Specialist (Interior Design) will be critical to ensuring we continue to deliver world-class design outcomes for the communities around us.
Specifically, we’re looking for our future Senior Documentation Specialist to:
- Lead, advise and oversee the interior design documentation and delivery to clients, project managers, contractors and team members.
- Manage and guide team members in modifying and reviewing interior design documentation outputs according to established standards and technical requirements.
- Oversee the Revit/CAD upskilling and continual development of our amazing design team in Bangkok.
- Provide design solutions once we start documenting our projects and continually engage in overall design discussions with project leaders and team members – we want someone who is not only technically brilliant using Revit/CAD, but someone who is well versed in design communication.
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to project leaders and team members,
- Remain approachable so that team members feel confident and comfortable seeking your advice, guidance and assistance when needed.
- When needed, develop and prepare design presentations to communicate ideas and the story to clients, communities, and other key stakeholders.
Further to this, the type of people we’re looking for are those with:
- Thai citizenship or the ongoing right to work in Thailand in alignment with Thai Law permissions.
- 15+ years’ professional experience in an Interior Design role focused on construction documentation using Revit/CAD.
- A bachelor’s degree in Interior design, or similar.
- Highly developed English communication skills including the ability to speak and write in English. English proficiency is required for this leadership role.
- Knowledge and experience of Interior Design delivery on large infrastructure projects.
- Advanced Revit/CAD skills.
- Construction experience on projects, including in leadership roles with directly responsibility for managing team members.
- Strong project management capabilities in order to successfully manage multiple deadlines, project priorities and outputs.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience – including going above and beyond minimum requirements.
- Experience in creating amazing outputs and outcomes through genuine design collaboration.
- Experience in training, coaching and mentoring team members who have, as a result, enhanced their overall capability and skillset when it comes to interior design, construction knowledge and documentation capabilities.
- Creative thinking and innovation in all areas of the interior design process, including the documentation phases.
- Experience and working knowledge of interior design products, materials and manufacturers.
- Self-motivated work ethic and the ability to meet fast paced project demands and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, showing initiative and problem solving in a team are essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work flexibly to the needs of the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues, while consistently delivering high-quality work.
