Our company is looking for a smart technical writer who will be working with one of the strategic Soft Serve’s customers, a leader in the financial domain.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced with at least 1 year of commercial experience as a technical writer
• Skilled in communicating effectively with system-oriented developers and business-oriented stakeholders, organizing complex information into clear, self-contained pieces
• Familiar with plain English guidelines and international writing standards from companies like Microsoft and Apple
• Knowledgeable about software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and stakeholders, with experience in Agile (Scrum) methodology
• Proficient in content authoring using Microsoft 365 applications or help-authoring tools like Adobe Robo Help or Mad Cap Flare
• Detail-oriented, flexible, responsible, and a strong team player, eager to dive into technical specifics
• Comfortable communicating in English within a multicultural environment
• Experienced in developing user documentation and how-to educational videos (would be a plus)
• Skilled in working within cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, product managers, analysts, marketing, and customer support teams (as an advantage)

AND YOU WANT TO

• Perform project investigations related to user assistance and end-user requirements, as well as visual representation needs
• Conform to product requirements, including documentation format, style recommendations, and guidelines
• Prepare materials for interviews and use the gathered information to develop and clarify documentation requirements
• Work efficiently within document and presentation templates
• Develop and update user documentation with or without assistance from a Senior Technical Communicator
• Arrange material to promote ease of use and quick access to required information
• Create release notes describing new product features and simple how-to videos
• Follow project schedule and priorities, and plan and align your own work
• Review content for linguistic, technical, and spelling mistakes, ensuring brand compliance
