Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Teaching:
- Design and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and student engagement.
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, ensuring that appropriate accommodations are made.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to inclusion.
- Regularly assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, utilizing assessment data to inform teaching practices.
- Prepare and present reports on student achievement and progress to parents and the school leadership team.
- Lead the development and delivery of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners and aligns with school standards.
- Promote best practices in English language instruction, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Organize and conduct professional development workshops for staff on effective English teaching strategies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and involving them in the learning process.
- Participate in school meetings, committees, and professional development activities to enhance personal and team effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of [3] years of teaching experience, particularly in an inclusion or special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English (native level speaker or equivalent).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to improving the educational experiences of all students.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and self-improvement.
