An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside our clinical site and patient flow team as a transport co-ordinator based in DGRI.
We seek to find a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent inter-personal skills to cover a fixed term leave. The post holder will work across the MDT and have telephone contact with the general public, hospital staff and Scottish Ambulance Service colleagues and Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer.
The role demands effective administration skills, including keyboard skills, report production, statistics, excel skills and knowledge of IT packages are essential to the role.
Duties will include the booking of inter-hospital transfers, out-patient appointments and the booking of hotel accommodation / transport for our oncology patients as required.
The ideal candidate must work to a high standard and be able to independently manage their own workload; this includes prioritising your day to day tasks whilst meeting the demands of the service.
The post holder will work closely with, and support the patient flow team, clinical site manages and discharge manager. This role requires good negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.
This post is fixed term for 9 months commencing 14/10/24

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
