194104 Organisational Development and Learning Advisor

Dumfries

August 28, 2024

We are growing our Organisational Development Team during a period of change for the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Board. This is a full-time, Fixed Term Contract for three years (37 hours), offering the successful candidate the opportunity to support the growing needs, and develop the service specifically around staff wellbeing. This role is part of a wider team including OD, L&D, Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. This position is hybrid, with ability to work from home and office, although given the nature of the deliverables, there will be a requirement to be on-site on occasion so you must be able to travel independently.
In Organisational Development we embrace diversity of experience, profession and ideas, what we ask of our team colleagues is an absolute commitment to compassionate leadership, appreciative inquiry and growing a positive constructive culture within our organisation.
If you bring a strengths-based approach to your work, we can bring exciting opportunities. NHS Dumfries and Galloway is developing ways of working with each other and with the people we serve. This is a great time to join the team as we grow the services that we need to deliver within Organisational Development, working with staff across the organisation and with colleagues in the Health and Personal Care Partnership to consider how we support the wellbeing needs for all.
If you are organised with experience of working with teams and individuals on wellbeing initiatives, a facilitation background, ability to become a trusted advisor, supporting staff during change and, a great track record in building strong relationships, if yes then we would be delighted to receive your application.
We positively support applications from people in all our communities. We particularly encourage and welcome applications from LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, Black people, Asian people and people from other minority communities.
Informal enquires are welcome, please contact - lynsey.fitzpatrick@nhs.scot

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
