We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven New Business Development Director to join our dynamic team. This role is specifically tailored for an experienced professional with a proven track record in consultancy-led sales within the finance, banking, and IT services sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities, particularly within the nearshore IT services and delivery space. You will be instrumental in converting initial conversations into long-term, profitable contracts, driving significant revenue growth across the UK, with an initial focus on the London area.

Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target potential clients within the finance, banking, and IT services sectors, using various channels including your own extensive network as well as networking events, industry conferences, digital marketing, and cold outreach.

Consultancy-led Sales: Engage with clients in a consultative manner, understanding their business challenges and offering tailored IT services and solutions, particularly in fintech, software development for banking/insurance, and custom software development.

Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at acquiring new business accounts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in finance, banking, and IT sectors, positioning our nearshore IT services as a strategic advantage and enhancement to their business .

Sales Conversion: Present customized proposals, negotiate terms, and close contracts that drive and deliver profitable revenue and establish long-term partnerships.

Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities within fintech, banking/insurance software development, and custom software development.

Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams such as delivery, product/project management, and customer service to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery and maintain high client satisfaction.

Performance Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities and provide regular updates and forecasts to senior management through the centralised deal management system.

What you need to succeed

Proven Track Record: Demonstrable ability to generate new business and close deals within the finance, banking, and IT services sectors, with a focus on consultancy-led sales and nearshore IT service delivery. -
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the finance and banking industry, with substantial knowledge of IT services, including fintech, software development for banking/insurance, and custom software development.

Consultative Selling Skills: Advanced skills in understanding client needs and developing tailored IT solutions that drive value and address specific business challenges.

Sales Acumen: Exceptional at initiating conversations, building trust with senior stakeholders, and influencing decision-makers. Proven experience in negotiating and closing complex deals.

Communication: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex IT solutions and business benefits clearly and persuasively.

Self-Motivated: Highly driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Experience: A minimum of 7 years in a similar sales role within the finance, banking, and IT services sectors, with demonstrated success in consultancy-led sales and nearshore IT service delivery.

Flexibility: Ideally based in London with the willingness and ability to travel as required.
