Digital Operations Manager

This newly created role of Digital Operations Manager now offers a suitably experienced individual the chance to join Harworth as part of the company’s digital transformation project. With responsibility day to day for supporting users across the business in their day-to-day business application use, the successful candidate will also have ownership of bringing more advanced technology and automation into the business, along with enhancing user ability of applications and project managing any new implementations alongside the external IT Support provider.
Duties include:
· Supporting users across the business in key applications, spotting opportunities for further training.
· Monitor application usage and SLAs with third party providers to review suitability and performance.
· Identify organisational need for change, and new application s as well as development of existing applications.
· Lead and manage upgrades and new technology implementations, focusing on speed, automation, and efficiency.
· Develop workflow plans and technical specification road-maps to support implementations.
· Provide project management support across various organisational projects, influencing, coaching, and mentoring teams to support successful delivery and implementation, and increase knowledge and confidence in systems across the business.
· Ensure the business is ready for any new system and that the implementation runs smoothly.
· Provide oversight and management of IT hardware and software, liaising closely with external providers.
· Ensure key regulations are adhered to including cyber security and anti-money laundering laws.
The experience required for this Digital Operations Manager role is:
· Excellent stakeholder management skills, communication and influencing skills.
· Experience delivering projects or working in a project management environment, delivering complex cross-organisational projects.
· Experience using and implementing automation tools.
· Knowledge of organisational data and IT security standards, policies and procedures
· Understanding of approaches to combining data from different sources, and the use of data tools/methods of analysis.
· Principles of testing methodologies to ensure successful implementation – manual and automated.
· Experience identifying and adding value, eliminating waste and improving processes.
· Strong relationship building skills in managing external provider contracts.
· Demonstrable experience of change and release processes – implementing new systems or applications within a business environment.
· Effective planning skills to ensure smooth delivery of new implementations and upgrades with minimal disruption to business as usual.
In addition to the above, the following skills, experience are highly desirable for this job:
· Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and approaches to security testing in systems.
· Knowledge of the principles and processes of an application or systems lifecycle.
· Ability to evaluate, appraise, cost and consider business risks.
· Experience in training and developing staff.
· Demonstrably strong change management and influencing skills, being a role model for agile behaviours – growth, trust, collaboration and reflection.
· Good understanding of how digital tools can be used to improve efficiency across organisations.
· Experience of working within and managing a defects management process
This role is being handled exclusively by Pratap Partnership and all third-party applications will be forwarded to Pratap Partnership.
