Laboratory Analyst

Laboratory Analyst; Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; Circa £25K depending on experience.
A leading manufacturer and merchant of a range of specialist additives that are used widely within the ceramics, coatings, paint and plastics industries is recruiting. This organisation is today one of the world leaders within its sector and manufactures in 2 continents; they are looking to strengthen their Laboratory team in Stoke on Trent, with the appointment of a Laboratory Analyst.
Working in a production-driven environment, the Laboratory Analyst role will involve detailed responsibilities including:
· Testing samples throughout the processes of manufacture, from incoming raw materials, intermediate solutions and finished products
· Environmental testing including wastewater treatment and dust monitoring.
· Testing products to pre-determined quality standards to meet requirements whilst maintaining the highest level of compliance.
· Ensure laboratory occurrences are performed within the time frame required.
· Support the continuous review, improvement, and harmonisation of documentation within the departments.
Those applying for the Laboratory Analyst vacancy will either be a fresh graduate looking to enter a scientific field or have spent a period of employment in a laboratory environment. This will be a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has a technical background, ideally a degree or qualification in a science related subject and have strong experience in laboratory methods and procedures. Applicants will have a willingness to learn, understand the market and show enthusiasm in their work. Good communication, organisation and time management skills are also required.
