Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care at The Beeches Care Home. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Duties

• To help the residents to lead as full a life as possible, to assist with activities for the residents, e.g. handicrafts, games, reading, etc.
• To help with serving of meals and assisting residents where necessary.
• To report any change in residents condition to the senior team.
• To report incidents to residents, staff or visitors to the senior team, who will record it in the accident record book and to complete an accident report form.
• To care for residents property and that belonging to the home as directed.
• To care for equipment and report any defects to the senior team.
• To help wash and dress residents when necessary.
• To help residents with their toilet requirements.
• Nightly checks on residents when they are asleep.
• Assisting resident's when they wake up in order to get ready for breakfast.
• To assist with any other duties if required.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with clients and team members.
• Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is advantageous.
