Providing outstanding autism specialist care across multiple properties in the
Tees Valley area (currently covering Darlington, Middlesbrough and Stockton)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SJOG for an experienced Registered Service Manager to develop a specialist Supported Living Service for adults with autism and associated conditions.

Our autism practice model is based on academically approved standards, and is aligned with autism good practice and national guidance. You will support us in providing people with autism with an outcome focused service, with person centred active support at its core.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of multiple properties, and be registered with the Care Quality Commission. Supported by the Operations Team, you will lead by example as a practice leader in autism knowledge and practice, whilst demonstrate a culture of enablement and proactive approaches so that people can become as independent as possible
Essential criteria:

• You will have the ability to talk confidently about autism and demonstrate your knowledge in practice.
• You will have a sound knowledge and understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and practice.
• You will have a sound knowledge of how the use of technology can support people to be independent.
• You will have excellent communication and presentation skills that promotes confidence within your team and for professionals.
• You will be innovative and thrive on research and innovation so that people with autism have positive opportunities in their lives.

Key criteria:

• You will be a Registered Manager with at least five years’ experience of working and managing a similar service.
• Exceptional track record with the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager.
• Are you aware of the Transforming Care Programme and understand how to challenge practice so that a positive culture is sustained?
• Can you use data to interpret people’s outcomes, progress and when early intervention is required?
• Do you have a critical eye over the detail so that complacency is avoided?
• Are you committed to working flexibly and work alongside your team so that you shape outstanding practice?
