What does the job involve?
An experienced support worker is needed to support a 5 year old little girl with autism who is pre verbal and in the process of being toilet trained. She will need to be taken out in the park or the community . On other occasions, the support worker will need to do educational activities with her . The hours can be flexible but mainly 2 hours slots one afternoon and one Saturday
Hours / days: 4 hours a week term time and 6 hours a week during school holidays
Pay rate: £13.50
Skills / experience / qualifications required:
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with children with special needs and possess a calm, kind and caring disposition.
The ideal candidate will be punctual and needs to be able to work on a flexible basis.
The candidate should be trustworthy, very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion.
A level 2 Diploma in Health and Social care is desirable but not essential; at least 1 years’ experience working with special needs children is preferred.
The candidate will need to take the child out on the community and keep her safe at all times
