Accounts Receivable Assistants ensure that clients/vendors are properly billed for goods and services. They work with other departments to ensure that correct amounts are collected in a timely manner, verify and record transactions, resolve account discrepancies, and perform other tasks to secure client payments
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports to AR/AP Manager
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel spreadsheets
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, research, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to build relationships with clients/vendors and internal departments
- The A/R Assistant will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers which can cause muscle strain. They will also do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
