Assessment Manager - ITAC (Grant-funded)

Effective July 1, 2024, Sinclair entered into a cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Energy to establish an Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) at Sinclair. The ITAC’s mission is to conduct energy usage analysis at industrial facilities and recommend potential energy efficiency measures to advance a clean energy and manufacturing workforce and lead the global clean energy transition. Spanning three years, the project includes several activities (engagement with the manufacturing community, outreach to potential students, management of student interns, etc.) which will require coordination and management.

The salary for this position starts at $57,344 and is determined commensurate with education and experience.
This position is grant funded and contingent upon the funds associated with the respective grants.

Principal Accountabilities

Lead the assessment effort, including scheduling, coordinating, on-site activities, pre- and post-assessment documentation, report generation, and management of students and student interns involved with the effort
In collaboration with the Project Manager, identify, schedule, and attend various outreach events to build awareness of the ITAC, available services, and potential education & training pathways
Foster and maintain relationships with industry to promote assessments to small and medium sized manufacturers, especially in Justice40 communities
Assist the Project Manager to manage the project budget, prepare reports, and coordinate purchasing
Coordinate, schedule, and attend ITAC collaboration activities with project partners
Support and help manage data collection and reporting

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field
Ability to maintain an FAA license to pilot an unmanned aerial device (drone) required
Ability to meet Sinclair’s requirements to drive a college-owned vehicle
Comfortable engaging one-on-one or with groups to promote the project objectives, recruit partners, recruit students, etc. required
Demonstrated project management skills, including budget management, scheduling, coordination, and collaboration with partners preferred
Passion for improving the Built Environment, especially through energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction preferred
Experience performing energy audits and assessments required
