Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory policies in at least one of the following states: Florida, Georgia, Virginia, or North Carolina
• Ability to manage multiple work streams at once
• Ability to quickly adapt and refine strategy
• Ability to quickly learn new issues and build relationships in new environments.
• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on any of the following: Fin Tech, Data Privacy, Artificial Intelligence, Professional Licensing and/or Housing.
• Experience working in a State Legislature, Office of the Attorney General or Governor’s Office

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, maintain and improve relationships with elected and appointed officials primarily at the state level with possible local and federal work as well.
• Establish, develop, maintain and improve relationships with trade industry associations at the state, local and federal levels
• Lead state-based contract consultants in the effort of advancing and defending the Rock Family of Companies and our partners’ political and professional agenda
• Work with the family of companies to understand critical issues facing their business units and teams
• Report and communicate initiatives and legislative activities
• Maintain timely records of activities and communications
• Establish, develop, maintain and improve professional skills and knowledge
