Event Associate

ARI is growing and we’re looking for an Event Associate to add to our fast-paced Events Team. This role will support all aspects of facilitate, planning and execution of first-class events locally, regionally, and nationally. The ideal candidate is someone that takes initiative, helps where needed, and likes the “rush” that comes with seeing a plan come together. In a nutshell, the position will consist of various levels of event/meeting planning and execution (both small and large; virtual, in person and hybrid), researching and developing relationships with vendors, and capturing event data/metrics to drive the Events Team’s procedure and protocol to ensure repeatable performance.
Who you are/what you have:
- Great customer service skills; ability to learn stakeholder needs and anticipate them
- Knowledge event planning and execution, especially hybrid events and events with high-level stakeholders.
- Experience working in a small but fast paced team environment and facilitating cross enterprise collaboration.
- Experience managing external vendors (e.g., food and beverage, audiovisual, decorating, etc.) and vendor agreements
- Demonstrated understanding of event planning and execution processes and techniques
- Desire to take on new challenges and try new approaches
- Ability to work independently, in an unstructured environment, with multiple concurrent demands on your time
- Great communication and organization skills
- Experience working with a variety of office software products, including (but not limited to): Communications/information management platforms (ex.Teams, etc.), online webinar/meeting platforms (ex. Teams, Zoom), community engagement tools (ex. Thrive, social media platforms), and Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Track and report on key event metrics
- Provide regular updates to the marketing team on the success of ongoing initiatives and suggest areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of marketing dashboards, data entry and reports for leadership.
- United States Citizenship
- 2+ years’ experience working in event planning, marketing, or related field
- Ability to obtain a Do D Secret level clearance or other government agency equivalent
- AS degree or relevant combination of experience and education

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
