Santa Monica Seafood, as an 80-year-old privately owned company, is the largest specialty wholesale distribution and processor of fresh and frozen seafood in the Southwestern U.S. with over 200,000 SF of facilities in 12 locations In California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Santa Monica Seafood is also well known locally for its two retail stores and cafes in Santa Monica and Costa Mesa. Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs and BAP certification of its main processing facility.
Pin Boners
We are currently looking for a Fish Pin Boner to join our growing team. The right individual possesses experience in a high production facility, understands the value of teamwork and exhibits a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities;

Responsibility of a Pin Boner is to remove thorns or fish bones. There are two ways to remove the thorns or bone, with tweezers and/or knife.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds for short distances.

Must be able to work at a speed that meets the production demands.

Long term standing is required

Production area maintains a cool temperature of 35-40 degrees, warm clothing is required

Follow and apply all the company guidelines and policies (food, defense, good manufacturing practices, safety, and sanitation).
