Team EJP is looking for a new Smart Utility Professional – focusing on GIS Services and Leak Detection!
Team E.J. Prescott, Inc. (EJP) family-owned waterworks supply company. We distribute water, wastewater, stormwater, geotextile, and erosion control products in 28 locations across nine Northeast and Midwest states. We also have four sister companies that provide fabrication and delivery services to our clients. We are one of the largest independently owned waterworks supply companies in the United States, and we pride ourselves on innovation and customer service.
As a Smart Utility Professional this position will consist of collecting and analyzing GIS data and create assets along with attribute data. This person will be required to use Arc GIS Pro for necessary adjustments to GIS maps as well as the use of a GPS receiver and Trimble Unity platform to collect and build assets to GIS Maps.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collect GIS points and data
· Implement collected data into Trimble Unity Platform
· Use Arc GIS Pro
· Build customizable layers or maps within Arc GIS Pro
· Work as a team in conjunction with EJP team members
POSITION COMPETENCIES / JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Able to write clearly and succinctly
· Basic understanding of GIS and collection of GIS data
· Advanced proficiency in Excel and fluent other appropriate office software
· Strong attention to detail
· String critical thinking abilities
· Takes the initiative and is self-motivated
· Responsive and follows tasks through to completion
· Team player and collaborator
· Strong organizational and time management skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School / vocational / college degree or equivalent education and work experience preferred. Prior experience at a fast paced, deadline driven environment preferred.
